Lincoln Confirms: No Extended MKS Sedan
DEARBORN, Mich. — Lincoln Limousine & Livery Vehicles has told livery vehicle dealers nationwide that Ford Motor Co. does not plan a factory-authorized extension of the Lincoln MKS livery sedan.
The memo, distributed to dealers to be shared with customers, states, “We do not plan a factory authorized second-row extension version in the near future.”
Craig Hall, manager of the Lincoln livery program, sent the memo to all QVM, dealer and livery accounts in response to a few questions it has received about the MKS product line. Hall, who gave LCT permission to publicize the contents of the memo, distributed it this week to ensure dealers and the limousine industry have the correct information.
The MKS livery sedan officially became part of the the Lincoln line-up of livery vehicles last year, and Lincoln debuted the vehicle at the 2013 International LCT Show in Las Vegas. The Lincoln MKS joins the Lincoln MKT Town Car and the Lincoln Navigator SUV as the official factory-authorized OEM vehicles for the chauffeured transportation industry.
